Wealth Re-distribution was the ‘Theme Song/Battle Cry’ of the Bolsheviks and those regimes that have carried this banner ever since, like Cuba’s Fidel Castro, and Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez. What has given those carrying the current banner of communist/socialist cries for ‘Re-distribution’ of wealth in this country some traction, is the horrid bad examples set by the 1%.
The Crony Capitalism and Corporate Feudalism of the past 15+ years, are making a joke of Entrepreneurship and Free Market Capitalism. Primarily since the financial crisis of 2008. It’s a long list of ‘Crony’ corruption by the Money Monsters and their surrogates. People are not blind to the astronomical wealth gap that has been created between the 1% and the ‘Common’ people of the nation.
Feeling hopeless and demoralized by this ‘gap’, people of all age groups (especially the youth) are starting to listen to the pied pipers of ‘Wealth Re-Distribution’ via politicians using the ‘Gap’ as an allure of false promises, and ‘Nanny State’ governance. These political opportunists know full well that Communism and Socialism will not actually result in ‘Wealth Re-distribution’ for the benefit of the people. But just as it always has done wherever these systems take hold, will result in a new ruling ‘Party’ that holds and controls the wealth and power. Only to leave the common citizens with NO ladder up to prosperity.
As Pete Townsend wrote “Don’t Be Fooled Again”.
In a recent article written by Tyler Durden titled, ‘Mayor de Blasio Says New York’s Wealth Is “In The Wrong Hands” And Should Be Re-distributed’, Mr. Durden profiles the Mayor’s pied piper tune to those who fall victim to the false promises.
Here are some quotes from Mr. Durden’s article;
“New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio took to the stage. The theme was clear: money in the city is in the wrong hands and needs to be redistributed to others. Here’s the truth, brothers and sisters, there’s plenty of money in the world. Plenty of money in this city. It’s just in the wrong hands!”
“This country has spent decades taking from working people and giving to the 1 percent. This city has spent the last five years doing it the other way around. We give back to working people the prosperity they have earned”
“Of course, there was little mention of numerous bumps in the road to the socialist utopia that de Blasio has been on since his tenure as mayor”
