States like California, Florida, Illinois, Georgia, and Ohio have the largest shadow inventories, according to RealtyTrac, a firm that tracks foreclosures and delinquent properties nationwide”
Today, in Boston, 24 protesters were arrested in front of Bank of America as they protested BofA’s unfair foreclosure practices.
Also, today, in NYC, 1,000 or more protestors occupied Wall Street and closed down the Brooklyn Bridge, chanting “We are the 99 percent” and “The banks got bailed out, we got sold out.”. Many arrests are reported from that protest, including the arrest of John Farley, a journalist for news magazine MetroFocus, was handcuffed with sharp plastic ties and arrested for civil disobedience.
Americans have had enough. They are saying “Uncle” all right–calling out for “Uncle Sam” to make things right and make them feel that the constitutions “We the people” and not the big banks are the ones running our country.
