Hi everyone, this is Myla. You are all familiar with Steven’s “Surrounded” blog posts by now. Well, I’m going to be throwing my hat in the ring also. I will be posting on a couple of topics that are dear to my heart; 1. Health and Nutrition, because let’s face it “we are what we eat”, and 2. Dance, cause heck, “I’ve gotta dance” (as in Soles).
In the next few weeks, I”m gong to start posting “video interviews” with some of Hollywood’s top dance professionals and choreographers, and much more. so stay tune.
This first post is a “stunner” I have to say (sure stunned me). Especially for all the moms out there. I’ve heard many stories about folks with “wheat allergies” but I never really understood the “what and why” until I recently had a chance to read and watch this short video interview with Dr. William Davis. Who as the article says, is “a cardiologist, author and leading expert on wheat. ”
Sounds to me like we all have some adjusting to do, to what we are putting in our mouths each day. And, this one is not going to be easy, as “wheat” is used in so many daily foods that we are all used to, and enjoy so much. But after learning about this information, its time to make some changes, if we want to stay healthy.
Here is a direct quote from the article; “Davis said that the wheat we eat these days isn’t the wheat your grandma had: “It’s an 18-inch tall plant created by genetic research in the ’60s and ’70s,” he said on “CBS This Morning.” “This thing has many new features nobody told you about, such as there’s a new protein in this thing called gliadin. It’s not gluten. I’m not addressing people with gluten sensitivities and celiac disease. I’m talking about everybody else because everybody else is susceptible to the gliadin protein that is an opiate. This thing binds into the opiate receptors in your brain and in most people stimulates appetite, such that we consume 440 more calories per day, 365 days per year.””
And, PLEASE WATCH the short video interview with Dr. Davis. This is “life changing” information.
