‘Doomsday Clock’ Now 2 Minutes to Midnight’ – When we first heard that the Doomsday Clock had now been re-set to ‘2 Minutes To Midnight’ our first reaction was “who’s got time for this”? There is so much to live for in this world, why do the controllers at the top continuously pursue misguided priorites that put the peace loving people of the world at risk. Isn’t it enough that we have to cope with all the health risks and natural disasters to have a ‘wonderful life’. Not to mention struggling and coping with the ‘Magic Money System’ to find a foothold for economic presperity.
The creation of the 70 year old instituion of the ‘Doomsday Clock’ spawned at the height of the Cold War with the Soviet Union in itself is testimony that the ‘controllers’ had their priorities all mixed up. So much time, money, labor, and attention spent on death and destruction; one-ups-manship. When the Soviet Union fell apart in 1991, the Doomsday Clock was set back to 17 minutes to midnight, everybody sighed with relief.
In 1953 the DD Clock was also set to 2 Minutes To Midnight, at the height of the Cold War, and the development of the Hydrogen Bomb. So, humanity made some progress, but has now in 2018 slipped back into dangerous territory. To view the history of the Doomsday Clock settings with explanation (CLICK HERE). So, apparently the geniuses running the world with their ‘Misplaced Priorities’ have put all the rest of us back in the cross-hairs of being the most at risk status according to the DD Clock. This DD Clock re-set is confirmation that the world leaders whose hands are on the wheel are incompetent, inept, and ALL need replacing before we get to ‘Midnight’.
Here are some quotes from a recent article by ¬Mikael Thalen, about all of this;
“The internationally recognized symbol was updated during a press conference in Washington, D.C., where Bulletin president Rachel Bronson informed reporters of the change”
“As of today, it is two minutes to midnight,” Bronson said. In an op-ed for the Washington Post Thursday, Lawrence Krauss, chair of the Bulletin and director of the Origins Project, argued that global threats have now risen to levels not seen since the height of the Cold War”
“The Science and Security Board for the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists assesses that the world is not only more dangerous now than it was a year ago; it is as threatening as it has been since World War II,” Krauss writes. “In fact, the Doomsday Clock is as close to midnight today as it was in 1953, when Cold War fears perhaps reached their highest levels”
“Reasons cited include escalating tensions over North Korea’s missile and nuclear weapons programs as well as an absence in arms control negotiations between the U.S. and Russia”
“We believe that the perilous world security situation described here would, in itself, justify”
“We hope this resetting of the clock will be interpreted exactly as it is meant: an urgent warning of global danger,” Krauss says”
